ABOUT ELIE

Elie Cantin-Nantel is a bilingual, multi-skilled journalist, columnist, commentator, and content creator based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

He is the Ottawa Correspondent for The Hub, Canada’s fastest-growing digital news, analysis, and commentary outlet, where he covers the latest developments on Parliament Hill and provides commentary on Canadian politics, Quebec and American affairs, the state of universities, and the evolving challenges faced by Generation Z.

Prior to joining The Hub, Elie wrote for various other news outlets and worked as a political staffer on Parliament Hill.

His journalism has been cited in several major media outlets, including Fox News, National Review, the Toronto Sun, the National Post, and The Blaze. He has also appeared on CTV, Global, and CBC.

In 2022, he was selected as part of the inaugural cohort of the Canada Strong and Free Network's youth leaders.

Elie has spoken on stage at events in multiple cities, including the Canada Strong and Free Conference, one of the country’s largest political gatherings. In 2023, he moderated a panel featuring both federal and provincial elected officials at the conference.

He is currently completing a joint honours degree in communication and political science at the University of Ottawa.

Originally from Quebec, Elie is a proud French Canadian.
