Camrose, Alberta is located in the riding Battle River-Crowfoot, where over 80% vote Conservative

Camrose, Alberta is be one of the most conservative places in Canada.

Located in the federal riding of Battle River-Crowfoot, now represented by Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre, this is a region of farmers, oil workers, pickup trucks, small businesses, and deeply conservative values.

In the recent by-election, more than 80% of voters backed the Conservatives.

So my team and I travelled to Camrose to find out why this part of the country is so deeply conservative, what people here really think of Mark Carney, and what this riding reveals about the growing divide between urban and rural Canada.

What we found was eye-opening.
